The Louth Branch of the Irish Pony Club was founded in 1949, making us the third oldest pony club branch in the country. 

 

Throughout our proud history, we've catered for riders of all ages and ability with annual membership averaging between 60 & 70 over recent times.  Currently, member ages range from 6 through to 22.

​

Although one of the smaller Pony Club branches at a national level, we more than make up for this in terms of  the pride and enthusiasm of its members and the commitment and dedication of the committee members and various discipline leads.

​

This has resulted in Louth Hunt Pony Club consistently fielding highly competitive teams over the years at area and national level in all the main disciplines, including show jumping, dressage, eventing, hunter trials, pony club games and minimus/tetrathlion where we have historically enjoyed a huge level of success relative to our peers.

​

It's not all about competition, however.  We also arrange regular rallies, training sessions, summer camps and fun days (such as the annual Easter egg hunt) which are particularly enjoyable for younger members and for those members who simply want to  meet and catch up with their friends.

​

When not training or competing, Louth Pony Club members enjoy a great social calendar of events which includes the ever popular annual junior hunt ball and annual awards night which are always extremely well attended.

​

Most importantly, Louth Hunt Pony Club provides a fun and safe environment where lifelong friendships are made while fostering the principles of personal responsibility and integrity, sportsmanship and fair play in all its members.

​

Catering for all age groups and standards of ability, new members (from absolute beginners to more experienced riders) are guaranteed a very warm and enthusiastic welcome in our club.
